Sandy Camby, 56, a resident of Burlington WA, passed at her home on May 12, 2017 after her battle with cancer. The love of her life, fiancé Gene Phillips, and her children were by her side.
Sandy was born on June 1, 1960 in Burlington, the daughter of Terry & Jeanette (Jones) Gilfillan.
Sandy was a one of kind women. She loved spending time with Gene and her brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy Phillips, she enjoyed the beach, spending time in the sun, playing at different casinos around the area, and she loved seeing her grandchildren as they brought so much joy to her life.
You couldn’t help but notice her when she walked into a room. She was so beautiful and fancy and smelt the best. Her laughter could make anyone smile.
Mom is survived her soulmate and fiancé, Gene Phillips of Burlington; her daughters, Tara Drechsler (Mike) of Spokane, Jennifer Gilfillan (Jason Moore) of Sedro-Woolley and Desirae Camby (Tim Wills) of Sedro-Woolley; her son, Daniel Camby (Jenny) of Sedro-Woolley; her mother, Jeanette Thomsen of Mount Vernon; sister, Tammy Hoyle (Corkey) of Concrete; brother, Danny Gilfillan (Donna) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Katie, Mallory, Douglas and Cory; her step-sons, Jason Phillips (Laure) and Doug Phillips and his family; brother & sister-in-law, John & Cindy Phillips and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father, Terry Gilfillan; step-father, Loren Thomsen; mother-in-law, Bertha Phillips; former mother-in-law, Marie Camby; brother-in-law, David Smith and granddaughter, Danielle Sitko.
A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley. Please share memories of Sandy and sign the online guest register.
