Donna Olivia Larson was born March 29, 1927 in Everett, WA. She passed away peacefully the morning of June 2, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones at Cascade Valley Senior Living in Arlington, WA at the age of 90. She was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Betty) Melseth. She was the first born of three children. Preceding her in death was her sister, Liz. She is survived by her sister Patricia.
Donna was married to her husband, Carl for 70 years, who just passed away in May. They had six children together. Her oldest son, Gordon (Gordy), preceded her in death. She is survived by her other five children, Melinda, Karen, Rick, Carol, and Donald, her 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Donna grew up in Everett, WA and graduated from Everett High School. Besides being a mom and homemaker, she held various jobs, including a bank teller, a cashier at the Sand Point Naval Base commissary in Seattle, WA, and a receptionist at Washington Oaks Assisted Living facility in Everett, WA to name a few. She also served as apartment manager with Carl at several locations.
Donna enjoyed playing bingo and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching sports on TV and watching some of her grandkids play golf.
She was a loving, caring and self-sacrificing mother. She will be fondly remembered for her Slumgullion dish, her fruit salad and homemade cinnamon rolls and many more. She was truly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
