    Glenda Jean died at the age of 79 on Jan. 10, 2019. She was born July 17, 1939. In 1947 the family moved to Dufur, Ore. There Glenda attended school and graduated in 1957. She then moved to Hermiston, Ore., married and raised her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Vale Parsons; and on Aug. 16, 2018, her husband, Otis Wilcox. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lincoln, sons Robert and Eric Wilcox; and her brother James Parsons, plus many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.

She married Lynn Williams in 1963 after dating all through high school. Their first home was married student housing at Eastern Washington University where their son Terry was born in 1965. They moved to Lyle, Wash., in 1967, planning to stay for 2 years, like most new teachers do. Once Lynn caught his first salmon, LaVena knew they were hooked.
